“I haven’t ruled out the possibility, and I’m very humbled [by] the tremendous amount of support out there,” Ocasio-Cortez said when asked about a potential run on ABC’s “This Week.” “I think that we have a responsibility to remain focused on the midterms and not on our individual aspirations.”
A recent poll from the University of New Hampshire found Ocasio-Cortez leading the field in the Granite State, ahead of former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz.
Ocasio-Cortez also did not rule out a potential run for Senate in 2028, when Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., is up for reelection.
“I think that anything is possible at this juncture,” she said.
